Two escaped Super Soldiers crash-land on Earth, chasing a quiet life they’ll never truly have. Lost, hunted, and carrying the ghosts of what they were made to be, Overdrive and his young companion Shortround drift through the grit of 1990s Chicago – searching for freedom, peace, and hoping, somehow, to start anew.
The Story:
Overdrive is a sci-fi comic book epic about an escaped super soldier who crash-lands on Earth with a kid he refuses to abandon.
He’s tied to something much bigger – an empress who believes the only way to end suffering is to end everything. And for it to happen… he has to choose it.
At the same time, a telepathic agent from a powerful interstellar alliance that’s starting to fall apart begins to realize her people aren’t the heroes they claim to be.
It’s an action-adventure on the surface – but at its core, Overdrive is about loneliness, identity, and love… and what it takes to hold onto everything you are when everything else is collapsing around you.
